Extortion virus in Fuji company

Recently, Fujifilm (also known as Fujifilm) announced that it was investigating blackmail software attacks and shut down some networks to prevent the spread of attacks. Fuji's revenue in 2020 was $20.1 billion, with 37151 employees worldwide. According to a statement released by Fuji, Fuji's Tokyo headquarters suffered a blackmail software attack last Tuesday.

In the late night of June 1st, 2021, we realized the possibility of blackmail software attack. Therefore, we have taken measures to coordinate with our global entities to suspend all affected systems. Fuji is currently investigating possible unauthorized access to its servers from outside the company. As part of the investigation, the network was partially shut down and disconnected from external communications.

Personal information disclosure of relevant personnel of Tokyo Olympic Games

It is reported that in response to possible cyber attacks during the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games, Japan's National Cyber Security Center convened about 170 security managers to participate in the exercise, and their personal information was leaked. The leaked information includes the names, ranks and affiliation of participants in about 90 organizations, including the Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Japanese ministries and commissions, the local governments of Tokyo and Fukushima Prefecture, and a number of Olympic sponsors. Japan's National Cybersecurity center declined to comment on whether the leaked information was related to the Olympic Games, and said it had not confirmed any target organization that caused operational disruption. As the party responsible for the supervision of the customer's computer system, Fujitsu President takahito tokita also apologized to the Olympic affairs minister Tamayo marukawa on the same day for the data leakage incident.

At present, there are about 50 days before the official opening of the Tokyo Olympic Games. The Organizing Committee and the Japanese government are making greater efforts to prevent this sports event from cyber attacks.

The online security of Tokyo Olympic Games faces great challenges

Just a month before the outbreak of the Fujitsu incident, hackers invaded the solido file sharing server, affecting the Japanese Prime Minister's office.

Katsunobu Kato, Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, said that it was expected that during the Tokyo Olympic Games, Japan's key infrastructure was likely to suffer cyber attacks. He pointed out that at present, the cabinet is ready to deal with such security incidents.

Dr. Chenxi Wang, founder and partner of rain capital, a US cybersecurity investment fund, also believes that "with the Olympic Games approaching, more cyber attacks against Japanese infrastructure and government agencies are expected."

Solidly Promoting network security is the primary task at present

Brother 1: will the recent cyber security incidents in Japan affect the smooth convening of the Tokyo Olympic Games? It's hard to say, but as the host, we must not take it lightly, and we need to do the relevant security work in advance. It seems that whenever a country has a major event to hold, it will attract the attention of all parties, including hackers and hostile forces, who want to make trouble for others at this moment, make others look ugly or show off. This also sounded an alarm for us. China will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China on July 1 this year, which can be described as an important event in China this year. We must pay more attention to the big housework. Before that, we should do a good job in relevant security detection, security reinforcement and security monitoring, and do a good job in network security emergency support and guarantee. In less than a month, those that have not been implemented should be implemented quickly, and the network security work should be done well to create a good and stable network security environment for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party.
